If your ready to add a watch to your collection that will stop onlookers in their tracks, there may be no parallel in the whole watch world to the Graham Chronofighter Oversize Overload Mark III. Graham, of course, has become synonymous with big watches. The La Chaux-de-Fonds watchmaker is infamous for it's port sided crown and 'security device' appendage that makes it instantly identifiable. The Oversize Overload adds a dramatic dial design to the already eye catching Chronofighter configuration. It's hard to take your eye away from the target-like subdial at 3 o'clock; but when you do, the caution strip tucked beneath the opposite subdial really adds some depth to the whole production. Both contrast nicely with the light slate blue of the dial. Inside is a bomb-proof Valjoux 7750 reworked to become the Graham Caliber G 1732. Although it's 46mm around (plus the huge security device... that extends well up your left forearm), and 18mm thick, wearing the Oversize Overload is actually very comfortable.
Not everyone will want the abundance of attention that a watch like the Graham Chronofighter Oversize Overload will attract. If you're walking around with it exposed... or even if the bullseye slips out from in under your shirt cuff for a second, you're sure to be stopped and engaged in conversation... often there will be impromptu 'fittings' with perfect strangers who will predictably report how great it feels on their wrist.
Graham made only 500 Oversize Overloads. $9,500 US puts one on your wrist.
