The Breguet 'Sympathique' clock has something very special adorning it's crown; the Breguet Classique Complications wristwatch.
The clock is suspended by gilded bronze pillars and features a dial that's trademark Breguet with retrograde indicators and intricate detailing. The entire presentation is ultra stately.
Displayed in grand style are the day, month, and date, the phases of the moon and the equation of time. There's also a thermometer that indicates the temperature in degrees celsius.
A drawer, replete with the Breguet nameplate, at the base of the clock holds a screwdriver made of solid 18K yellow gold and a key for resetting the time and calendar.
In a monstrance-style compartment above the dial, the Classique Complications wristwatch is housed. The Breguet Classique Complications is an open works tourbillon in 18K gold that's automatically set and wound every day when it's housed in it's compartment atop the 'Sympathique' clock.
I'm sure that the production of the Sympathique will be extremely limited although the exact number of examples is unclear. Anyone lucky enough to have one on their mantle (and wrist) will have acquired an extremely stunning example of the integration of the highest forms of clockmaking and watchmaking.
